They played terrific defence on both Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving and with those two neutralized, for the most part, the Nets had no answers for Boston’s due of Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown who made the most of favorable match-ups to score at will and carry the Celts to this conference semis.
Defending Champions Milwaukee Bucks similarly handled their business with dominant victories over the Bulls in a series that was hit by injuries/illness on both ends as Bulls star Zach Lavine and defender Caruso along with Bucks all-star Khris Middleton all had to be sidelined for the better part of the series. Giannis remained in attack mode though and scored at least 30 points in four of the five games to send the Bulls to Cancun.
