Tottenham vs Chelsea 12.01.2022
After losing the first leg, Spurs were on the verge of back-to-back cup losses as they trailed 1-0 at home to lower division side, Morecambe. With 20 minutes left, Italian tactician Antonio Conte decided to break the emergency glass and subbed in Harry Kane and Lucas Moura and the move paid immediate dividends with the two bagging a goal each to add onto Winks equaliser to give them a 3-1 win.
Chelsea had no such problems in their weekend match. With Tuchel fielding a strong lineup at home to Chesterfield, they wasted little time, going up 4-0 at the break before letting their foot off the pedal and getting a 5-1 victory.
The Blues took care of business at home with a solid 2-0 win in the 1st leg last week. Spurs have no choice but to attack here and this could mean we will have a much more open game than the 1st leg. We expect a close start though but that should pick up in the 2nd half
