The African Cup of Nations

The Africa Cup of Nations is a biennial tournament for the senior men’s national team in Africa. It is sometimes referred to as AFCON.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) are responsible for awarding hosting rights to member countries and overseeing the organization of the tournament. It was first organized in 1957 and became biennial since 1968.
