Hosts Cameroon kicked off their AFCON campaign in dramatic fashion as they came from behind to claim a 2-1 win over a dogged and determined Burkina Faso on the opening day of the competition.

Ethiopia fell at the first hurdle as their 10 men were dominated and bamboozled by Cape Verde who scored at the stroke of halftime and that turned to be the winner as they edged the tie 1-0.
