Jiri Lehecka vs Nick Kyrgios 07.06.2022
Czech tennis player Jiri Lehecka will play his first official ATP match on the Grass. Aged 20, Lehecka is enjoying a breakthrough season having reached the semifinal of ATP Rotterdam which is a 500 points tournament. He was at a career-high ranking of 77 last week and has won 88 matches since the beginning of 2021 (mainly challenger tour matches).
Kyrgios returns to Stuttgart having made the semifinal in 2018 in his debut appearance at this tournament. The Australian has a very good record on grass as his big serve is perfect for this court. Having slipped down the rankings, Kyrgios will be highly motivated to make deep runs in the grass swing. He is 9-4 this year and won the Australian Open Doubles title earlier this year.
Lehecka is technically adept, has a very good all-around game but lacks a big serve to get him cheap points. Kyrgios has a lot more experience on grass than his opponent. Though he is playing his first match in two months, he has almost become used to these absences and will come out serving all guns blazing.
Tip: First Set Winner Kyrgios
